You don't have to be a school
SpudBus was built for the school run, but it works for anyone taking a known group of people along regular routes to a timetable. Passengers, stops, runs and the register are the same whoever you are.
Who else it suits
If yours isn't listed but looks close, ask. We would rather tell you it doesn't fit.
Community and care transport
Dial-a-ride, volunteer driver schemes and community minibuses. Regular runs, the passengers who rely on them, and an office that can see every vehicle.
SEND and specialist transport
Door-to-door runs in small vehicles with tight capacity, where each passenger's pickup point matters. Per-passenger stops, capacity limits and cover are built in.
Hotels and venues
Guest and staff shuttles, station runs and airport transfers. Mostly fixed times, and someone at reception who needs to know where the minibus is.
Sports clubs and activity providers
Travel to fixtures and training. Squads that change week to week, and families who want to know when the bus is on its way back.
Holiday and activity schemes
Short seasons with new passengers every week, and a register that has to be right on day one.
Employer and site shuttles
Staff shuttles between sites, stations and shifts. Live tracking for the people waiting, and a record of what ran.
What we don't claim
Some of these services carry vulnerable passengers and are regulated. SpudBus is software for running a timetable. It does not make you compliant with anything.
Ask whether it fits- Operator licensing, permits and vehicle standards are yours. SpudBus has no view on them.
- Driver vetting and training are yours. SpudBus can remind you when a licence or DBS check is due and stop a lapsed one being assigned, but it does not carry out the check.
- You are the data controller and we are your processor. You decide what is collected and why.
